Sir: The high rate of child-birth and unsafe abortions in Pakistan is alarming and has bed consequences on women. The conservative norms of the societies neither keep a restrain on women’s decision about having children nor are they authorised to say how many children they should have.

There are no family-planning systems we have in our country to create awareness about child-bird or abortion because our culture does not allow to decide woman about childbirth. Thereby, a host of back-street abortions is practiced leading to abrupt termination. According to the report of Family Planning Association of Pakistan there are annually 900,000 termination in the country. However, good family planning is always leads to help maintain a stable economic route curbing overcrowding that our state needs to realize. Some useful measures are required to spread awareness regarding the issue.
