Actor and producer Faysal Quraishi has numerous dramas to his credits. This cherished household name has been garnering a lot of love over the years with stellar performances in one drama after another. The actor has played various roles; from negative characters to positive characters, with sheer perfection and never fails to impress his audience every time. The diverse and exceedingly talented actor is now playing the lead role opposite Madiha Imam in his on-going drama ‘Muqaddar’.

Produced by 7th Sky Productions, written by Iqbal Bano and directed by Sheherazade Sheikh, the drama cast also includes Ayesha Gul, Ali Ansari, Haroon Shahid, Shameen, Fazila Qazi, Saif-e-Hassan, Berjees Farooqui and Shahzad Mukhtar. Muqaddar is currently airing on GEO Tv every Monday at 8pm.

When asked about Faysal Quraishi’s character, the actor comments, “Saifur Rehman is a very complicated character. At times he looks like a hero and other times he is the villain. On the crux of it, he is not a bad man but he has certain boundaries where he doesn’t let anyone in. It’s a relatable role because we do come across people like these in our society.”

The drama continues to be a show that garners a lot of interest of the audience and with Quraishi in a negative role that’s not entirely dark just as yet; it’s interesting to see the build-up of different characters of the show. The cast also includes Haroon Shahid, Ayesha Gul, Ali Ansari and others headlining the show.

In episode 3, with Haaris (Ali Ansari) out of town, Raima (Madiha Imam) is persuaded by her aunt and uncle to stay home from college as they are worried about the powerful Sardar Saif (Faysal Quraishi) and his interest in Raima. Under the impression that she’s at home to take care of her aunt, who has fallen ill, Raima happily works around the house and talks to Haaris on the phone as the two continue to plan their future together.

On the other hand, when the relationship between Saif and his wife, (played by Ayesha Gul), is seen, it is revealed that his wife is a traditional woman who serves her husband and commands her own authority; however not worth much in the eyes of her husband. On the other hand, Sardar believes that men should always follow their own rules and always stay in command; he is also seen advising the same to his son; when his wife interjects that others can get hurt by this behavior – to which Saif responds that it’s necessary to do so.

His ruthless nature is visible here and it’s also clear that his family is not exempted from it.

Faysal Quraishi is doing a great job of enacting this character, giving him a soft exterior initially, but slowly revealing all the cracks in his persona. The actor as Sardar Saif is a man in power with a ruthless personality and the drive to dominate whoever he pleases. Sardar Saif is about to turn Raima’s life upside down in the coming episodes and we can’t wait to see how.
