HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) has directed the company’s mobile meter readers in Thatta district to ensure 100 per cent target completion of accurate meter reading.
According to a press release issued here on Friday, the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Saeed Ahmed Dawach issued such directives to the staff during a meeting in Thatta. “You should go home to home, take meter reading and a snapshot of the meter while ensuring that the photograph of the meter is clearly published in the electricity bill,” he said.
Dawach said that exercise would help the consumers to pay bill as per the units consumed over a month and would also help in the timely recovery of the bills to HESCO. The CCO informed that 65 monitoring teams would check performance of the meter readers in all the operational districts of Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and Nawabshah divisions which were powered by the HESCO.
Dawach warned the staff that the company would sack a meter reader who had been found negligent in their duty.
