New York City’s sidewalks double as runways for its fashionistas-Taylor Swift included! The 26-year-old singer is always dressed to impress, but we can’t help but notice
how her sense of style has evolved over the past few years.

When she first moved to Manhattan in 2014, she embraced everything new! Leading up to the release of ‘1989’ in October, Taylor was all about working cutesy throwbacks into her wardrobe-from funky bowler hats to knee socks!

Over the course of the next year, Taylor dialled the edge back a bit-she kept a few hats in the mix, but she also brought back the classic, Jackie O styles we’d known pre-‘Red’.

But as 2016 rolled around, Taylor really began to up her fashion game. It might have something to do with hanging out with supermodel BFFs all the time, but Tay’s style is increasingly sophisticated. Whether it’s a new platinum ‘do or thigh-high velvet boots, this country-turned-pop star isn’t afraid to take a risk.

The red lips have been a mainstay, we must note, and so has Taylor’s good taste. She was the one, after all, who taught us what never goes out of style. Swift was named an Icon of American Style by Vogue in 2011.
