Five die in Mardan traffic incident

MARDAN: At least five people lost their lives and 11 other people were left injured after a passenger van slammed into a truck parked by a roadside in Mardan on Wednesday.

According to sources, the van was heading from Rawalpindi towards Bajaur when the driver lost control due to high speed and weather conditions and weaved directly into a static truck.

Five of its passengers died instantly while 11 others were left with serious injuries.

The injured along with the dead bodies were also shifted to Mardan Medical Complex.
