SHC CJ transfers Wasim’s cases to Ahmed Ali Sheikh

KARACHI: The Chief Justice Sindh High has transferred City Mayor Wasim Akhtar’s cases to Peony Judge Justice Ahmed Ali M Sheikh and has has issued notices to advocate general (AG) Sindh and others. Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s jailed leader is booked in different cases pertaining to facilitating the terrorists’ treatment, supporting hate speech by party’s self exiled chief Altaf Hussain, and May 12violence. A couple of days ago Akhtar submitted an application before chief justice for the quick proceed of the cases launched against him, on which the Chief Justice sought the details of the cases form police and other law enforcement institutions. The Chief Justice transferred all cases to Justice Shaikh but due to shortage of time the court has put off the proceeding till a date which would be announced later by court’s office.
