11 illegal water hydrants demolished in Malir, Korangi

KARACHI: At least 11 illegal water hydrants, two wells and two water tanks were demolished on Friday in Damloti Malir and Chakra Goth Korangi in the presence of session judge Malir Mr Khalid Shahani.

According to Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KWSB), statement, this operation was being done on the orders of apex court.

Cases against seven owners of Hydrants Gulam Feroz Memon, Salman Agha, Abdul Wahid Baloch, Zubair Baloch, Jameel Ahmed, Haji Roshan Jokhiyo and Malik Yaseen were also registered.

Huge machinery and three generators were also seized along with 100 feet rubber wide size pipes.

Managing Director KWSB Misbahuddin Farid, Deputy Commissioner Malir Mohammad Ali Shah and Superintendent of Police Malir Dr Najeeb Gori were also present there.
