United on Kashmir despite political differences: Imran

Author: Staff Report

TAXILA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has on Friday said that all the political parties of Pakistan stand united on Kashmir issue despite their political differences. He warned the Indian government if the Indian army continued to use force in Kashmir, the level of ant-India sentiment would continue to grow. Addressing a public meeting in Taxila, Imran Khan said that entire Pakistani nation stood firm behind the Pakistan army. He said that the Kashmiri people were fighting the brutal force of India’s army. Imran warned the Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi of the consequences of the use of brutal force in Kashmir.

“When nations decide to become free, tanks and guns cannot stop them”, said the PTI chairman. He added that it was impossible to enslave a nation through force. “Had it been possible to enslave a nation with the help of force, the United States would have enslaved Afghanistan by now,” he said, referring to the United States invasion in Afghanistan in 2001, which, despite causing great damage to the country, was unable to quench its spirit. Imran Khan said that the prosperity of a country lay in the strength of its institutions. He added that the corruption had the power to ruin any institution. “When there is corruption, investors move to Bangladesh from Pakistan,” said Imran.

He said that a resourceful person in Pakistan could do anything. “Nawaz Sharif was caught red-handed in Panama Leaks case but the Supreme Court terms this case as non-serious. We are unable to get justice from the institutions”, he added. The PTI chief said that his party never caused any unrest in its 20-year history. He added that the ‘Gullu Butts’ of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) had attacked the caravan in Gujranwala during the 2014 march from police vans but if they did something similar on September 30, PTI workers wouldn’t tolerate it and will fight back.
