Rangers seize smuggled goods in Khairpur operation

A plan to smuggle non custom paid goods including 8500 kg poppy seeds and 20140 kg areca nut has been foiled at Theri bypass check post in district Khairpur. The raid was carried out upon the intelligence information provided to the customs authorities by Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) for controlling smuggling.

According to sources, while searching the truck the aforementioned goods worth 2.5 crore rupees were found. The truck along with goods and driver were handed over to custom authorities then.
