The new state of the art of SMIU Model School was inaugurated on Monday, by the vice chancellor of SMIU, Dr. Muhammad Ali Shaikh where a ribbon cutting ceremony was also held.

Deans, Chairpersons, and Administrative Heads of Departments and others were also present.

The new school building has been constructed on the land which was occupied by land mafia for more than forty years. “Two years back, after the anti-encroachment drive the land was vacated anSMIUd it was decided that this plot will be converted into an educational oasis.” VC Dr. Muhammad Ali Shaikh told.

This magnificent building has been constructed in the record time period of sixteen months. Four-storey edifice with airier classrooms, modern Science Laboratories, Computer Lab and a Library is dispersing the treasure of knowledge.

After the inauguration the Vice chancellor, SMIU, Dr. Muhammad Ali Shaikh visited the school building. Talking to the students he said that students are the future of the country. Get a good education and enjoy the tremendous facilities, Dr. Shaikh advised. He further said, in addition to basic facilities at the school, there is a science lab, a computer lab taking advantage of which the students can adapt to modern needs.

Providing the best future and conducive learning environment to the students, is our responsibility, Dr. Shaikh said and added that inaugurating the school is a first step to it, upcoming generation will be benefited from this Model School. Dr. Shaikh said that amid the city, SMIU Model School is a perfect example of an amalgamation of existing infrastructure and modern facilities.

Dr. Shaikh further said we have made rapid progress, making impossible to possible. another seven- storey, state of the art Information Technology Tower (ITT) is in the process of construction, that will be completed in March 2020.
