Protest held against BISE policies

PESHAWAR: A number of people belonging to different localities held a protest demonstration on Sunday against the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar for deciding to take board exams from Grade 5 students and said that the students were unable to make preparations for the examination.

Talking to media persons at the Peshawar Press Club the people said the BISE Peshawar, through a notification (8/9/2016-345/DRD), had directed all the schools to prepare their students for the Grade 5 for the board examination to be held after four months. The students, they said would appear in the papers of English, Social Studies, Urdu, General Science, Mathematics, Pushto and Islamiat within four months, saying it was impossible for them to get their children prepared.
