Author: Staff Report

HYDERABAD: A rally has been taken out against no action by Hussainabad police regarding the murder of two students whose dead bodies were found in a car from a garage near Wapda colony Hussainabad.

The rally was from Old Campus to press club, which was converged in a big public gathering addressed by leaders of various organizations including students of ZA Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology, Women Action Forum, Nari Jamhoori Mahaz, Human Righs Commission of Pakistan, Awami Workers Party and others.

The participants of the rally were carrying banners and placards inscribed with the pictures of slain students Mustafa Shaikh and Benazir Qadri. The rally and protest demonstration was addressed by Rabia Qadri and Javed Qadri, parents of Benazir Qadri, Women Action Forum leaders Amar Sindhu and Haseen Musrat Shah, Dr. Buxul Thalho, Dr. Ashothama of HRCP and Alia Thalho.

They alleged that police were covering up this double murder by declaring it an accident. They said the police have been avoiding producing eye witnesses of the case in court while postmortem reports are also silent on the cause of deaths.

They said Hyderabad police are expert in killing and injuring people extra judicially. The protestors demanded reinvestigation of the case.

They also demanded that five eye witnesses in the case should be taken in custody and be produced in the court.
