Lakhra Coal Mines SHO booked for hunting birds

Jamshoro SSP removed and suspended a station house officer (SHO) for hunting migratory and domestic birds in a prohibited area of Kheer Thar National Park.

Following the complaints of Wildlife Department, Jamshoro SSP Amjad Shaikh registered an FIR against SHO Lakhra Coal Mines Sikandar Rodhanani for hunting the birds in reserved area of National Kheer Thar Park. The SSP removed and suspended the SHO. Inspector Raja Theabo was posted as the new SHO of Lakhra Coal Mines. The Jamshoro SSP also constituted an inquiry committee under Jamshoro DSP (Admin) Farooq Lakhiar.

Talking to the media, Farooq Lakhiar said that an inquiry had been initiated and its report would be submitted to the Jamshoro SSP within three days.
