Protest held against removal of Benazir’s name from BISP

Benazir Bhutto, the former prime minister of Pakistan and chairperson of Pakistan People’s Party, was a brave and great leader. She was a sign of peace, who united the people of Pakistan, worked for their welfare and set many examples for the women of the world. However, the incumbent government removed the picture and her name from the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) by using cheap tactics.

This was said by Ms Rehana Bhutto, the president PPP women’s wing Shikarpur, on Thursday.

A mammoth rally was taken out by the party’s women’s wing Shikarpur, on the directives of Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, the provincial minister for Energy, it was taken out from Shikarpur House and marched various routes of Shikarpur and culminated at the started point.

Rehana Bhutto, further said that incumbent federal government has failed to fulfil its promises, therefore, it is trying to take credit of ongoing welfare projects of previous PPP government adding in overall world the projects used to name on brave and great leaders, but incumbent government is trying to remove the name of former prime minister of Pakistan and termed it sheer injustice and threatened if government tried such sort of tactics to implement aforesaid decision who will have to initiate campaign against incumbent government.Rozina and Ms. Hassina Jhullan said that after hearing the news of the removal of the name of Benazir Bhutto, the women of the country are feeling restless and raised slogans against incumbent government and in favour of Benazir Bhutto.A large number of women participated in the rally and expressed their reservations over the decision to remove the name of Benazir Bhutto from BISP.
