Bus rapid transit project to be launched in November: CM

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Parvaiz Khattak has said his government was all set to formally inaugurate the Bus Rapid Transit Project in November this year and he had already directed for preparedness as the project would be completed by December 2017. He appreciated the Asian Bank Country Director for the timely assistance of the bank to put on ground the all time big project for Peshawar. Talking to Country Director Asian Development Bank, Chief Minister Khattak remarked that his government had already pulled its sleeves up for different projects of public welfare as it could not afford any delay. Delay would be the wastage of time and there would be a danger of cost escalation on these projects, he added. Engr. Muhammad Uzair, the Managing director of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority gave a detail sketch of the entire roads communication network recommended for rehabilitation and reconstruction under the Provincial Roads Rehabilitation Projects.
