Five members of a family died and three others injured when a car crashed into a tree here on Monday, rescue sources said. According to details, a family which returned after performing ‘Umrah’ was on its way from Lahore to Chiniot when over speeding car got out of control after bursting of tyre and it crashed into a tree on motorway near Khanqah Dogran in Sheikhupura. Four members of family including 12-year-old Hanzla, Abu Huraira, Zubaida Bibi 35, and Muhammad Sajjad 50, died on the spot in the accident while four others were injured. The FWO and Rescue 1122 teams rushed the scene and shifted the bodies and injured to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital where Abdul Jabbar 45, also succumbed to his wounds raising death toll to five while three other wounded people were referred to Lahore General Hospital due to critical condition.
