KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that PPP is a popular political force and reality that’s why people from different political parties after quitting important positions are happily coming to join it.

This he said while addressing an impressive programme in which PML-N MNA Hakeem Baloch announced to resign from PML-N and join PPP here at the banquet hall of the CM House on Tuesday.

The chief minister said that PPP believes in the service of poor people and all the development works and schemes launched by People government in Sindh are in public-welfare oriented and the purpose is to change the life style of downtrodden.

Welcoming Hakeem Baloch in PPP fold, Syed Murad Ali Shah said that he was happy to receive him {in PPP} because Hakeen Baloch had been the member of the cabinet of his father, Syed Abdullah Shah. “He was our old jiala and left s for some and time but his return to his family is good omen,” he said.

He said that Hakeem Baloch resigned from state ministry, national assembly membership and then from basic membership of PML-N. THis is similar to the resignation of Imtiaz Shaikh who had also resigned from the position of state minitry, and member of provincial assembly and then from basi membership of PML-F. Hakeem Baloch in his speech said that the PML-N government in the center is not for all the provinces but it was only for Punjab. “The prime minister had vowed to giive an special development package to Malir district but he never watered to his promise,” he lamented and said that it was Shaheed Benazir Bhutto who had created Malir district and now her government in the province was giving special attention to the uplift of Malir.

He announced to resign from PML-N and National assembly and joined PPP along with his tribesmen.

Senior Minister Nisar Khuhro being convener of PPP Coordination Committee welcomed Hakeem Baloch and said that he had returned to him home.
