Court releases 30 peasants

MIRPURKHAS: Thirty peasants, including seven women and fifteen children, were released under court orders from a private jail of landlord Fazalullah Memon on Wednesday.

According to report, Purana Mirpurkhas police on directives of District and Sessions Judge Mirpurkhas conducted a raid on a private jail and recovered 30 detained peasants, who were presented before the court. The judge after hearing the statements set them free.

The police told APP that the court orders were issued on the application of Ghamoo Bheel regarding illegal detention of his relatives who were working as bonded laborers and were not allowed to move freely. However, the landlord Fazaullah Memon, when contacted, claimed that peasants were defaulters and they played drama to usurp his outstanding amount.
