U-turns of PTI has moved Pakistan into a state of quandary

Author: Asif Murad Umrani

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) has brought Pakistan into a state of quandary and fractured government with his so-called U-turns. It has completely failed a successful government beyond his tall claims and now turning the face from the promises that he committed during Presidential speech and so on particular events.

PM Imran Khan, at Davos, uttered that his government is the most transparent. I would like to draw more light on the aspects. PM Imran Khan has definitely not unfolded the truths by means of hiding consistency. On the wider portion, he was actually talking about all the conundrums, Pakistan is facing these days. Under PTI’s regime, high inflation killed thousands of middle and low-class families and devastated “buried” millions of dreams. Secondly, the crisis of good governance is showing its imminent wicket out. Similarly, democracy is invulnerable for where there is nothing to shore up. Apart from this, economic challenges have come to in effects due to the already ruined(devalued) industrial and commercial sectors. Likewise, sectarianism and gender inequality including the child sexual abuse have further deepened their roots. In the same way, energy, water and gas crisis is just one step behind “chasing” to extend heart attacks to the local community resulting in high prices of daily life commodities.

Moreover, the “Naya Pakistan” has not brought anything new for the amelioration of the dilapidated education sector yet because its files and approaches are dumped somewhere else in a corner of ministers’ offices. Sequentially, our minister of Foreign Affairs Shah Mehmood Qureshi does not bother to review for the analysis of foreign policies. Look at America who changes his foreign policies within weeks or of months, knowing the fact that he can not hold the slogan of peace and harmony without improving foreign relations. On the very other side, our foreign minister is doing nothing special but adding new enemies on the list. Here suits a proverb that goes, ” Actions speak louder than words.” Accordingly, we have lost Kashmir where our actions were required rather than words at a possible end. Wars can not be won by “Milli naghmas.”

Alike these matters, Pakistan’s external and internal debts have reached US $ 105 billion. These debt traps have moved the fillers of the country injecting corruption. According to the recent Transparency International (TI) corruption report, Pakistan is ranked 120th on the list of 180 countries, proving that Pakistan moved ahead in corruption under the PTI government. And what Imran khan says in his speeches, the current condition of the state is because of the past ruling governments. Pakistan’s current position is like between the devil and deep sea where there is no spark of positive hopes from far and wide.

I still don’t understand what are we waiting for, if for miracles then miracles exist in Pak lands only. Regardless of Pakistan; the term “Savagism” actually befits us. As for, we inject cows and goats for increasing their weights, we produce milk with mixture of powder, we make fake medicines, a country where legislation is meant to be only for poor, a state where science and technology demoralized, justice delayed, seized lands, black marketing, fake passports, disrespect of profession, number one all in world for pornography, polluted environment, people who sell organs of human body and uncountable wickednesses which go with no ends.

The more we are selling our conscience the more we are disappearing the ideology of Pakistan. Gone are the days when people had wished to live and now it is too hard to bring the imagination in practical applications. Here also pertains to the question, how can it be possible? According to a report issued in 2018, every newborn Pakistani child is indebted to Rs 130,000. And, the recent fiscal budget for 2019_ 2020 has increased the price of even shroud “Kafan” up to 17%. In such a situation, the person can not live and die on both margins.
