ATTOCK: Attock’s Chief Security Officer Muhammad Naeem on Wednesday said that strict security measures have been planned for Muharramul Haram.
In this regard, he said that 2,500 police personnel, Elite Force commandos and volunteers will be deployed while army and Rangers will stand alert to handle any emergency during processions.
Naeem added that as many as 145 processions will be taken out from 87 Imambargah by mourners in the district during Muharramul Haram. Further, around 754 congregations will be held which including 66 in Saddar circle, 70 in Hasanabdal, 173 in Fatehjang, 325 in Pindigheb and 120 in Jand. He said that all the processions will pass through their designated routes and no route violation will be allowed.
Moreover, walk-through gates will be installed at the required places while experts from the Bomb Disposal Squad will also remain on standby. Meanwhile, Elite Force officials will provide special training to volunteers to tackle any untoward incident, Naeem said.
