Three killed as rival tribes exchange fire

SHIKARPUR: At least two brothers and one assailant were killed and one was injured on Wednesday during an exchange of fire between two tribes.

According to Police, a group of armed assailants belonging to Ghafoor Dahani tribesmen attacked their rivals of the same community living at village Chatto Mangi and opened indiscriminate firing. As a result, two real brothers identified as Liaquat Ali and Rahib Ali son of Ali Murad Dahani were killed on spot, in retaliation, one assailant identified as Abdul Khalique son of Ghulam Mustafa Dahani was also killed while another armed assailant named Shahid aka Shahzado Dahani sustained bullet wounds during the exchange of fire.

Area police rushed on the spot and controlled the situation and arrested the injured assailant and transported the bodies and injured to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Madeji for postmortems and the injured for medical treatment, from where, the dead bodies were handed over to their families amid security and injured was referred to Chandka Medical College Hospital [CMCH] Larkana for further medical treatment after providing him first aid at Madeji Hospital.
