SHIKARPUR: The leaders of Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and Sindh United Party (SUP) have said PPP rulers have failed to fulfill their commitments to serve the people. They held a joint press conference at a local hotel here in Shikarpur on Thursday and announced their support to JUI-F candidate Allama Nasir Mehmood Soomro contesting the by-elections in PS-11 Shikarpur. Central leader of SUP Agha Qamar Mushwani has said that Shikarpur city, which was considered Paris of Sindh once, has been ignored by all elected representatives. He said the rulers have intentionally avoided resolving the city’s problems like illegal encroachments, rehabilitation of sanitation, drainage system, health, education, law and order situation, and construction of roads. SUP leader Agha Qamar Mushwani along with his other party members and friends assured their support to JUI-F candidate in the by-elections to be held on October 20th. To a question, JUI-leader said that he was approached by the close sources of his rival candidate Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh to accept Rs 50 million. But Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh strongly denied this allegation while talking to this scribe.
