HYDERABAD: The old students of government College Phuleli, Hyderabad, have said that on October 2nd they will be holding 100 year celebrations of the college. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, President Phulelians Professor Majid Zafar Khan and others said in 1988 they had found this old students’ organization whose membership has now reached to 650. The celebrations will continue till October 2, 2017. The Phulelians asked Sindh government to upgrade the college to university level so that it can meet higher educational needs of Hyderabad city. It is worth adding here that at present all three universities in public sector namely Sindh University, Liaquat Medical University, and Mehran Engineering University are located in Jamshoro across Indus River. The citizens of Hyderabad have been demanding a university for them since long.
