ISLAMABAD: Former director general (DG) of Military Intelligence (MI), Major General Sarfraz Sattar, has been promoted to the rank of the lieutenant general. According to ISPR spokesman, Maj Gen Sarfraz Sattar was commissioned in Armoured Corps in 1984. He is presently commanding infantry division in Sialkot. He was MI director general and also the defence attache in India as well. Defence sources said that he will be posted on an important post soon and it is also expected that major transfer postings will take place in army in few days.
