ISLAMABAD: The CIA has solved the mystery of the blind murder of a lady in the jurisdiction of Sabzi Mandi.

The CIA not only used CCTV cameras installed in the city under the Safe City Project but also utilised scientific methods to solve the case.

Daily Times came to know through the investigation accomplished by this scribe that the case No 319 of the blind murder was registered on September 25 by the police. After the failure of the police to find out the unknown murderers, case was handed over to the CIA.

The CIA traced the cab through CCTV cameras from which the dead body of the deceased Anam was thrown out in a bag in the area of Sabzi Mandi. Sources said Anam was working in a beauty parlour, and despite getting married recently, she had some two or three boyfriends.

She came back from Abu Dhabi on the day of her murder. Anam’s boyfriends were unhappy over her marriage and it is very much possible that one of the abortive lovers might be her killer.

SP CIA Captian (r) Ilyas said that they had reached very near to the killers of Anam but added that the time had not come to reveal their names.

He said that either the task was difficult or soft it was duty of the police to investigate any matter on merit and nab the real culprits and to take them to halls of justice. When contacted, sources in the ministry of interior said that the ministry was quite satisfied with the performance of the FIA, the CIA and the Safe City Project. Moreover the performance of the police also got better.

He said that some complaints were received against some officers who used their authority to provide shelter to the wrongdoers and that data was being collected against them so that strict punitive action could be taken against them.

Another police official on the condition of anonymity told Daily Times that the complete information had reached the Interior Minister, Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan, about all the SHOs of the federal capital territory police and their assets including their precious plots and the vehicles that were in their use.

“But the ministry cannot explode at once but the process of accountability would be commenced with one or two officials as a complete wash cannot take place. The ministry thinks that in presence of a particular mafia in the police force, the investigation could not be carried out on merit basis.
