Army chief reviews operational readiness at Mangla

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif visited the Strike Corps headquarters at Mangla in the wake of the on-going escalating tensions across the border.

According to a local news channel, the COAS reviewed the operational preparedness of the armed forces during his visit. Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that Sharif was accompanied by chief of Logistics, Director General Military Operations (DGMO) and the corps commanders of Lahore, Gujranwala and Peshawar during his visit.

The purpose of his visit was to review the operational preparedness in the wake of recent escalating tensions across the Line of Control (LoC) and also the Indian war craze being hyped up after Uri Attack. The general expressed his complete satisfaction over the operational preparedness of Pakistan Army.
