Author:

Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday issued notices to Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Secretary of Federal Ministry of Law and others respondents and sought them reply in a petition seeking formation of NAB inquiry and investigation rules.

A SHC bench heard a petition moved by Advocate Tariq Mansoor for the formation of NAB’s inquiry and investigation rules as per article 34 of NAB Ordinance.

The petitioner stated that rules of investigation and inquiry are needed to be formed as per the NAB Ordinance.

“NAB is being run for last 20 years without rules of inquiry and investigation,” the petitioner stated.

He stated there could be no inquiry without rules and investigations.

Later, the court adjourned the hearing till 12th February.
