Acclaimed Pakistani drama writer Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar has strongly rejected reports of his second marriage with actress Eshal Fayaz.

He took to Facebook and shared a post on his page.

“I strongly condemn and reject an absurd and baseless news of my marriage with heroine of my film Kaaf Kangna,” he wrote.

“It is so shameless to peep into the personal lives of artists like us and destroy our images,” he said and added that “I solemnly declare nothing of the sort ever happened between me and the heroine and we were just working together to complete the project in quite a professional way.”

Earlier, the playwright received a lot of backlash after reports of him tying the knot for the second time surfaced recently.

Eshal Fayaz on Saturday also denied rumours that she is married to Khalil Rehman Qamar.

Eshal released a video on social media to clarify nature of her relationship with the writer.

“There is no truth in rumours that are doing the rounds since yesterday. I haven’t got married to anyone, I am very much single.”

Calling the rumours about her marriage with the writer fake, she said “My relationship with Khalil ur Rehman Qamar is that of one between an actor and a director, nothing more than that.”
