Nine fishermen rescued by private security force

KARACHI: Nine fishermen were rescued successfully near Balochistan coast Churna after their boat was out of control due to flooding inside the vessel followed by weather constraints.

According to the details, the fishermen were miserable and failed to control their vessels during fishing in deep sea area that could have cost their lives until one of the fishermen approached Maritime Security (MSA) Agency through his mobile phone. However the agency was unable to rescue them immediately in the limited time and distant from the headquarters. MSA approached Byco Security Boat having security deployment in the area of Balochistan coastline. The boat carried out an extensive searching operation in the night and found all fisherman with the boat at about 10 pm successfully.

All fishermen were rescued successfully but their boat capsized in the sea due to various holes. These fishermen were brought to Karachi on Monday after a night’s stay provided by private security service. The fishermen were transferred to MSA through PSA boat that landed them at Karachi Fish Harbor, Keemari. MSA thanked the prompt action by Byco security boat as an appreciable act as it helped in saving lives of 9 people. The names of the fishermen including Shah Jahan, Abdul Salam, Fateh Muhammad, Alamgeer, Matih Al Rehman, M Sheraz, M Arshad, Hubdar Ali and Shahid Ahmed While speaking about the rescue operation, Cdr (r) Kaleem Ishaque, the Manager Security, SPM, Byco Petroleum Private Limited said, “We have served humanity through our rescue operation. Although we were not able to save the boat, we were right in time to rescue the distressed fishermen who by the grace of God have been able to see the light of the day and will be reunited with their families.
