RAWALPINDI: The “Access to Justice Programme” has been put at stake in district Rawalpindi due to traditional slackness of police as challan of 5,461 cases out of 12,164 cases registered in 30 police stations of Rawalpindi during the first 8 months 2016, have been sent to the courts.
According to sources out of 8 police stations in Rawal Division, 246 cases were registered in police station city. Out of these cases, complete challan of 124 cases, incomplete challan of 41 cases and interim challan of 24 cases were sent to courts, 18 cases were dismissed and two cases were deferred.
In police station Ganjmandi, complete challan of 167 cases, incomplete challan of 79 cases and interim challan of 38 cases were sent to courts out of total 290 cases registered in this police station. Three cases were dismissed while nine cases were put on hold. In Ratta Amral Police Station, 432 cases were registered and complete challan of 196 cases, incomplete challan of 168 cases and interim challan of 47 cases were sent to courts. Six cases were dismissed while nine cases were deferred.
Likewise 663 cases were registered in Police Station Pir Wadhai. Complete challan of 290 cases, incomplete challan of 250 cases and interim challan of 91 cases were referred to courts. 18 cases were dismissed and five cases were kept pending. As many as 644 cases were registered in Police Station New Town. Out of total registered cases, complete challan of 214 cases, incomplete challan of 117 cases and interim challan of 170 cases were sent to the courts. 28 cases were dismissed and 42 cases were deferred.
In Police Station Sadiqabad, 900 cases were registered. Complete challan of 384 cases, incomplete challan of 133 cases and interim challan of 178 cases were sent to the courts. 34 cases were dismissed and 21 cases were put on hold.
About 779 cases were registered in Police Station Waris Khan. Complete challan of 449 cases, incomplete challan of 158 cases and interim challan of 116 cases were sent to the courts. 23 cases were dismissed and 33 were kept pending.
In Police Station Banni 326 cases were registered. Complete challan of 169 cases, incomplete challan of 68 cases and interim challan of 54 cases were sent to courts. Nine cases were dismissed and 21 cases were deferred.
Among 12 police stations of Pothohar division, 749 cases were registered in civil lines police station. Complete challan of 339 cases, incomplete challan of 95 cases and interim challan of 193 cases were sent to courts. 75 cases were dismissed and 24 cases were put on hold.
In Police Station Morgah, 252 cases were registered. Complete challan of 103 cases, incomplete challan of 37 cases and interim challan of 80 cases were sent to courts. 12 cases were dismissed and eight cases were deferred. As many as 732 cases were registered in Airport Police Station. Complete challan of 358 cases, incomplete challan of 169 cases and interim challan of 167 cases were sent to the courts. 38 cases were dismissed. In Police Station Cantt 497 cases were registered. Complete challan of 221 cases, incomplete challan of 38 cases and interim challan of 166 cases were sent to courts. 38 cases were dismissed and 32 cases were kept pending.
In Police Station Race Course total of 389 cases were registered. Out of which 199 challens were sent to courts while 75 incomplete cases and 76 interim challens were also sent to courts and 20 cases are dismissed and six cases were deferred.
In Police Station R.A.Bazar, a total of 433 cases were registered. Out of which 241 were complete and 105 are incomplete and 51 interim challans were sends to courts. Some 24 cases were dismissed and eight cases are deferred.
In Police Station Naseerabad, 449 cases were registered. Out of which 179 are complete, 137 incomplete and 29 interim challans were sends to courts while 19 cases were dismissed and 16 cases were deferred.
A total of 319 cases were registered in Police Station Westridge. Out of which, complete challans of 149 cases were sent to courts while 84 cases are incomplete and interim challans of 62 cases were sent to court, three cases were dismissed while three cases were deferred.
In Police Station Taxila, total of 483 cases were registered. Out of which complete challans of 200 cases have been sent to courts, 122 cases are incomplete and interim challans of 129 cases were sent to courts. Some 13 cases have been discharged and 13 cases were deferred.
In Police Station Wah, a total of 370 cases were registered, out of which 194 cases complete challan were sent to the courts and some 69 cases are incomplete and interim challans of 73 cases have been sent to courts. 17 cases were discharged while eight cases were deferred.
In Police Station Saddar Wah, a total of 508 cases were registered. Out of which 139 are incomplete. Complete challens of 229 cases were sent to courts, interim challans of 112 cases were sent to courts, 17 cases were dismissed while four were deferred. Police Station Women is the only Police Station of Rawalpindi in which only 5 cases have been registered during the last eight months. Out of which complete challan of one case has been sent to court while remaining four case were dismissed.
Similarly 10 Police Station of Saddar Division, in Police Station Saddar Baroni 567 cases were registered, out of which 81 are incomplete, complete challans of 211 cases have been sent to courts while interim challans of 147 cases have been sent to courts, 28 cases are registered while 64 cases were deferred.
In Police Station Rawat, a total of 327 cases were registered. Out of which 65 are incomplete and interim challans of 113 cases were sent to courts, 16 cases were dismissed while 19 cases are deferred. In Police Station Chountra, a total of 218 cases were registered, out of which 71 are incomplete, 65 complete and interim challans of 43 cases were sent to courts. 11 cases are dismissed while 11 are deferred.
In Police Station Gujar Khan, a total of 423 cases were registered, out of which 80 are incomplete, the complete challans of 250 cases are sent to courts and the interim challans of 67 cases were sent to courts, 11 cases were dismissed and 7 were deferred.
Similarly, in Police Station Mandar, a total of 180 cases were registered. Out of which 50 are incomplete while complete challans of 74 cases were sent to courts. The interim challans of 40 cases were also sent to courts, seven cases were dismissed while three were deferred.
In Police Station Jatli, a total of 157 cases were registered. Out of which 56 are incomplete while complete challans of 55 cases were sent to courts and interim challans of 32 cases were also sent to the courts. 11 cases were dismissed.
In Police Station Kalar Syedian, a total of 208 cases were registered. Out of which 41 were incomplete and complete challans of 71 cases were sent to courts. The interim challans of 64 cases were sent to courts. Nine cases were dismissed while 14 were deferred. In Police Station Kotli Sattian, some 69 cases were registered. Out of which 10 are incomplete and the complete challans of 29 cases were sent to courts. The interim challans of 22 cases were sent to courts. One case was dismissed while seven cases were deferred.
In Police Station Murree, a total of 297 cases were registered. Out of which 45 were incomplete while 89 cases are complete. The interim challans of 119 cases were sent to courts. Five cases were dismissed and 32 cases were deferred. Similarly in Police Station Khutta, a total of 251 cases are registered. Out of which 88 are complete while 68 were incomplete and interim challans of 63 cases were sent to courts. 11 cases were dismissed while 11 were deferred.
