Author: Abdul Khaliq Qureshi

On the call of KP Bar Council complete strike was observed in Abbottabad and lawyers did not appear in the courts and litigants returns from the court unattended by taking next hearings date. Assad Khan Jadoon, president Abbottabad District Bar Association (DBA) while talking to media men said that this is highly injustice for the poor complainants to go to high court for the justice and relief in the civil and anti-narcotics cases as earlier they had remedy to appear before in session courts and can get relief but now they had to pay extra and higher charges due to court cases in High Court. Jadoon further said that it will increase the burden on the higher courts with the increase of number of cases which h otherwise would have been filtered in session courts. He added that Lawyers community totally reject this new change and will hold indefinite period strike till reversal of this decision by the government.
