ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Ordnance Factory, an affiliated unit of the Pakistan Tennis Federation, will organise 1st Chairman POF Sports Board National Tennis Championship from October 16 to 22 at POF Wah Sports Complex. According to a spokesman for the Pakistan Tennis Federation on Wednesday, the championship is PTF’s grade one national tournament and carries Rs.500,000 cash prize. Dr Amir Murad is the president of the organising committee and Asad Durrani is the secretary organising committee. The events to be contested are men’s singles, women’s singles, juniors under-17 singles, boys under-14 singles, boys and girls under-10 singles, men’s doubles and 45 plus seniors doubles. The under-10 event will be played with modified green dot balls, which are being provided to each and every organiser by the PTF free of cost.
October 13 is the last date of entry. Outstation players will be entitled to complementary boarding and lodging until elimination. The juniors main draw players will also get economy class railway fare both ways.
