COAS appreciates high morale of troops on LoC

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday said that the troops deployed on the Line of Control (LoC) to defend the motherland were in high morale.

He said this during his visit to the Headquarters 10 Corps, responsible for the entire LoC area. Corps Commander Lt Gen Malik Zafar Iqbal received the COAS on his arrival at the headquarters. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the top commander was given a comprehensive briefing on the prevalent situation on LoC and operational preparedness of the units and formations. While expressing his complete satisfaction over operational preparedness, the COAS appreciated state of morale of troops and the level of vigilance being maintained.

Separately, NATO Military Committee Chairman General Petr Pavel called on General Raheel at the General Headquarters.

During the meeting, regional security issues and matters of mutual interests were discussed. The visiting dignitary appreciated the resolve of the Pakistan Army and its continuing efforts towards fighting terrorism and bringing peace to the region.
