LANDIKOTAL: Senior Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Chairman KP chapter of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Sikandar Hayat Sherpao said the tribesmen decided their fate by favouring merger of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province that will lead development of war torn tribal belt. He was addressing a gathering arranged on the occasion of people joining of QWP in Dost Mohammad Hujra (male guest house), Malik Nadir Kha Kalley of tehsil Landikotal. In his address as chief guest, Sikandar Sherpao said that some elements did not accept clear mandate of the tribesmen, filed in FATA reforms committee. Some powers in pretext of conducting referendum in the tribal belt to retain status-quo that was injustice to the tribesmen. Since creation of Pakistan, tribal areas remained integral part of Pakistan the tribal people had been deprived of their basic rights and had deliberately kept them under-developed, he said. QWP is the representative party of Pakhtuns and will leave no stone unturned to safeguard interests of the tribal people, Sikandar Sherpao remarked. Sherpao conditioned peace in Pakistan with peaceful Afghanistan and said that establishing cordial relation with their brotherly neighbor country was need of time. He also flayed decision of authorities for suspension of 3G net services in FATA and demanded for early restoration of it. The QWP General Secretary Babar Hashim, Dr Azam Afridi, Asad Advocate and Dost Muhammad also spoke on the occasion. Beside the party workers from across the FATA, large number of local tribal participated in the political moot.
