LAHORE: The National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) Training College organised a road safety walk on Sheikhupura Road on Saturday.
The walk was attended by Beaconhouse schoolchildren and teaching faculty. The schoolchildren on the occasion held banners and placards inscribed with road safety slogans with an aim to create road safety awareness among commuters. A road safety stall was also arranged by NH&MP whereby road safety materials, speed measuring equipment, and hydraulic cutters were displayed for public.
The patrolling officers and schoolchildren distributed pamphlets and booklets among the participants. The students visited different facilities provided at the college like driving simulator and mechanical lab. They took keen interest in all activities and enjoyed their participation in the walk. The NH&MP officers also educated the students regarding the use of seat belt, observance of lane discipline, avoiding overspeeding and mandatory usage of safety helmet while riding.
