13 LUMHS employees get appointment letters

MIRPURKHAS: Vice Chancellor (VC) Liaquat University of Medicine and Health Sciences (LUMHS) Prof Noshad Ahmad Shaikh awarded thirteen appointment letters to the dependents of the university’s retired staff on Thursday. While addressing the ceremony, the VC expressed that the welfare of the University’s staff is one of the top priorities of the administration. Regarding the education of the children of the employees, the University is in contact with the Education Department, Sindh Government for the adoption of a Government School located in the LUMHS Colony by the University and it shall be upgraded to a Model Public School in the near future. He informed that the cleaners appointed in the transport Section on Employees Son quota will be upgraded to the post of drivers as soon as they fulfill the required eligibility criteria.

Prof Noshad A Shaikh said that in this regard the university staff is availing the facility of `Health Assurance’ in which the employees and their family’s Health is covered financially by the University in case of any disease leading to the hospitalization and major investigations, along with 50 percent discount on the routine laboratory investigations which are offered by the LUMHS Diagnostic and Research Lab.
