Familiesof martyred policemen get cheques

SUKKUR: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sukkur range Syed Feroze Shah has said that officials of Sukkur police have always fulfilled their responsibility of maintaining law and order and protecting public property with the utmost professionalism.

He was speaking at a ceremony held at SSP office Sukkur to hand over a cheque of Rs 5 million to the family of martyred SHO of Bagarji Syed Subhan Shah and assured the family of their full support.

He paid tribute to the martyr Subhan Shah, saying that such heroes would be remembered. “Inspector Subhan Shah was a brave officer. Such brave officers are our heroes who made sacrifices in the line of duty,” he stated. PRO DIG office Farhan Sarwar quoted DIG as saying that sacrifices of police officials would go a long way in improving the law and order situation in areas and they would serve as role models. DIG on the occasion stated that Sindh Police were serving the people in a very challenging environment. He said the Sukkur range as well as District police had undertaken a number of initiatives for the welfare of martyrs’ families, including financial assistance, employment opportunities, free medical and education facilities.
