It’s no easy task to maintain those lean, long legs and washboard abs – Deepika Padukone follows a disciplined workout routine to stay fit.

“Deepika enjoys working out and I am always telling her that she has the perfect Pilates body. She executes each exercise with perfect form whether it’s the most basic one or a really challenging exercise,” explains her personal workout guru Yasmin Karachiwala. The fitness expert shares the Bollywood superstar’s regime.

Deepika’s workout regime – Deepika mainly does pilates. She has a very lean and athletic body so pilates is excellent to fine tune those muscles. We try and do a different machine and different workout each time whether it is Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Core Align, MOTR, Bodhi or Mat. Deepika’s favourite machine is the reformer, reveals Karachiwala.

Padukone’s workout philosophy – being an athlete she truly is the embodiment of fitness. For her it’s not just about working out to suit a role, but to maintain a healthy lifestyle. She is always eager to try out new and different things.

How often does Padukone workout? – she works out every single day when she isn’t shooting. However, when she is occupied with work, she works out as and when time permits.

Padukone’s diet plan – Padukone is a smart eater and makes healthy choices. She ensures she eats every couple of hours. While she doesn’t stop herself from eating anything she makes sure she eats just the right amount to fill her stomach. Padukone’s diet rules – never eat with your eyes, eat enough to fill your stomach and never over eat.
