The Prime Minister Imran Khan led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government has decided, not to allow Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s Vice President, Maryam Nawaz to travel abroad.
Senior lawyer of PTI, Dr. Babar Awan while talking exclusively to local news channel, made it clear that Maryam will face a big no, as subcommittee of the federal cabinet that deals with ECL cases rejected her plea. “The rules concerning placement of the name of persons on Exit Control List [ECL] do not allow the government to entertain her application to remove her name from the no-fly list,” said Babar Awan.
Earlier, Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda strongly opposed to let Maryam Nawaz fly abroad. He urged the government not to exclude her name from the Exit Control List (ECL). Several ministers, including PM Imran, agreed with his opinion.
