Senior general should be made new Army chief: Khursheed Shah

Author: Staff Report

LARKANA: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has said that General Raheel Sharif is a very good general and after his retirement a senior general needs to be posted as new Army chief.

He was talking to reporters at village Mahottaon Monday when he came to condole with the bereaved family of PPP leader and ex-chairman of Mazar Committee Ghulamullah Mahotto, who expired few days ago.

He said staging sit-in and closing Islamabad is a personal decision of PTI chief Imran Khan. He said that the reason of failure of foreign policy is that there is no proper foreign minister in the country. He cited the postponement of recent SAARC leaders’ conference as an example in this regard. Khursheed said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should have been present during the recent joint session of the parliament.

To a question about Altaf Hussain, Shah said that they cannot give certificate of loyalty or treason to anyone. About the question of massive corruption of 90 billion rupees in Larkana development works, he said they are unaware who has instigated the Chief Justice in this regard.
