CM denounces attack, seeks report

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Monday strongly condemned the suicide blast in the city. He expressed sorrow over the loss of innocent lives of police officials and citizens in the blast.

He extended his heartfelt sympathies to the heirs of the bereaved families and expressed condolences with them. He also directed the administration to provide best treatment facilities to the injured. The chief minister also sought a report from the acting IG Police and ordered investigation into the incident. He said that those responsible for the attack would get exemplary punishment. He added that sacrifices of brave policemen and other citizens would not go down the drain. He made it clear that terrorists as well as their facilitators involved in the killing of innocent people would meet their logical end.
