ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Thursday confirmed death sentences awarded to another ten terrorists involved in offences that included killing civilians, polio workers, NGO employees, police officials and Armed Forces personnel. Firearms and explosives were also recovered from their possession. These convicts were tried by military courts. All of them pleaded guilty.
According to details issued by ISPR, it has been revealed that convict Muhammad Shahid Omar was an active member of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. He was involved in killing two female workers of a polio vaccination team. He was also involved in attacking law enforcement agencies which resulted in death and injuries to police official and soldiers.
Hussain Shah was an active member of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. He was involved in attacking Armed Forces of Pakistan which resulted in death of Major Mustafa, Captain Waseem, several soldiers and injuries to many other soldiers.
Zafar Iqbal was an active member of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. He was involved in attacking law enforcement agencies which resulted in death of Subiadar Awal Khan, Naik Azmat Ullah of Frontier Constabulary, and injuries to ASI of police Chanar Gul and Sepoy Shafique of Frontier Constabulary. The convict was also in possession of firearms and explosives.
Anwer Zeb was an active member of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan involved in abduction of Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Khaqqan Afzal, murder of SI (Retired) Umar Ghani and killing of a civilian. He was also in possession of firearms and explosives.
Obaidur Rehman was an active member of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan involved in the murder of innocent civilians. He was also in possession of explosives.
Sher Alam was an active member of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, who was involved in attacking law enforcement agencies and killing of civilians. He was also in possession of firearms and explosives.
Atta Ullah, Mushtaq Khan and Asghar Khan were active members of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. They were involved in attacking law enforcement agencies which resulted in the death of several soldiers and injures to Captain Asif.
Shamsul Qamar was an active member of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. He was involved in attacking Law Enforcement Agencies which resulted in death of police officials and injuries to civilians.
