27 killed, 66-plus injured as buses run into each other in Rahim Yar Khan

RAHIM YAR KHAN: A heartrending accident took place on Monday morning and as a result of which 27 people have died and more than 66 are reported to be injured as two passenger buses run into each other and crash.

The collision of the two passenger buses took place at Khanpur road near Sehja. One of the passenger buses that collided with the other was on its way from Karachi to Bahawalpur.

According to rescue sources, the other bus involved in the collision was on its way from Faisalabad to Sadiqabad. Rescue officials reached the place of the accident to provide relief to the injured and pull out the dead bodies.

Relief operations were midway as the injured were being shifted to the nearby hospital for medical treatment.
