Lahore: Former Governor Punjab and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central leader Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has termed the increase in duty as “inflation bomb” by Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday.
He said that all institutions have reached on the verge of collapse. Bad governance must be eradicated from roots otherwise inflation, corruption, and injustice will continue providing damage to nation.
“PTI’s Chairman Imran Khan is only credible, honest and visionary leader of country. Strengthening the PTI is mission of my life. Only Imran Khan can pull the country out of existing crises”, he added.
He further said that FBR has increased duty on 144 items before Eid and enactment of federal annual fiscal budget which is contrary to law. It will only escalate the flood of inflation before Eid and affect the lives of poor people.
“Corruption and absence of meritocracy have ruined the national institutions and reason of destruction of institutionalism in Pakistan”, he concluded.
