ISLAMABAD: Former president Asif Ali Zardari has felicitated Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto on holding the successful Karsaz rally. He congratulated the PPP chairman and party workers for taking out such a mammoth rally to pay homage to the martyrs of democracy, who laid down their lives when the Karawan of Benazir Bhutto was attacked on October 8, 2007. It was announced in the rally that the culture of Pakistani people is democratic and the PPP is the torch bearer of democracy in the country, said a press release issued by the PPP secretariat. “Long live the martyrs of Karsaz who wrote with their blood a new chapter in the struggle for democracy; long live, the party workers and democratic people rallying around chairman of the party in paying homage and rekindling democratic spirit,” Zardari said.
