Some literary figures are unique in themselves since they define the real essence of life through their poetries containing satire, exaggeration, melancholy and extreme of consciousness in one way or another.

Similarly, Balochistan is blessed when it comes to literary figures and they are the ones who have earned names in the pages of history. We mostly get inspired by the poets and their poetries since they deliver their thoughts and ideas according to their minds and therefore they remain special in our hearts. So is the true of Balochistan which is rich in poets who do not only do poetries for themselves, but their poetries always carry a kind of message to the nature of the universe. The poetries are not made for the self-relaxation I believe, they are explained and delivered for the purpose of pleasure and those pleasure are extremely important in one’s life since they relate with memories.

Apart from this, Balochistan is at the top of its game when it comes to holding festivals for literature since we have some amazing personalities who have shown their talents and ideologies through their poetries which surely touch the hearts of the people and the lovers of literature. Manzoor Bismil, Munir Momin and Mubarak Qazi are the leading figures when it comes to Balochi poetries whose poetries have created an immense importance in the hearts and minds of Balochistan. Not only in Balochistan, but also in abroad they have earned a great respect for themselves. They are not limited within themselves but their poetries carry revolutionary thoughts and the love of the people and motherland. Therefore, they are the most liked poets in the history of Balochistan who never did betray the hearts whom loved their poetries. Among them, Mubarak Qazi sounds interesting since he is more famous with his unique style of poetries. Noting the facts of Waja Mubarak Qazi, it is really hard to define his poetries in words since he is more limited than what he actually is in the world. He is not a poet only but a philanthropist who always thinks and cares for his nation and generation and therefore, he elaborates both the motherland and love of the people in his poetries..

He is the one who gave a different direction to Balochi poetry in this modern era and is therefore recognised as the poet of poets since his experiences and thoughts are only related to the world of literature. His imaginations and fancy are the leading factors making him successful and this is the reason that most of the poets of today’s generation are inspired by him. Mubarak Qazi from his childhood loved poetries and was interested in literary gatherings; and he always attended such gatherings where literature was the leading topic. He was born in Pasni on 24th December 1956 and his father’s name was Khauda Amanullah. He is famous mostly for his nationalism and love for his motherland which merely depicts the culture and civilization of Balochistan and its beauty. He is also famous for writing poetries against the rude nature of the government for the rights of the people as one of his such pieces was about the CM of Balochistan. He is therefore at times criticized for his truthfulness and honest as he mentions, “Mani mayar amesh inth man Qazi rasth gusha’n, do wal pagah kalah’e man gusht nakana.”

Moreover, Mubarak Qazi’s poetic language is created through the use of imagery and sound which always carry a deep and hidden meaning on the surface. His poetries are mostly related to the senses and minds of the people which are however creating the sense of understanding and logic only if one really understands him and his poetries. He is regardless when it comes to the nature of beauty in the object of poetries that are quite unique and interesting when they deliver multiple ideas through one line. He says, “Begind qismata mani, bichar qudrata mani, che rang sol tran kanth, che dol gap bayan kanth, Zameen’a Asman kanth” which are impressive via the metaphoric language carrying the different meanings in the world of literature.

His career in literature is more than the experience of a common man in his life and he is nonetheless the most prominent figure of Balochistan when it is the matter of poetry and the love for the nation. He is not only a poet, but a man with pure heart that keeps feelings and emotions for everyone and elaborates them in his poetries and songs. His songs are heart touching and most of the singers are influenced by his writing and they find themselves more connected within literature when they sing and share Mubarak Qazi’s song and poetries. For him his nation and motherland is more important than his life since he is a true lover of Balochistan.

In short, there has not been nor ever be any poet like Mubarak Qazi in the history of Balochistan. At times, I feel what will happen after his demise and what will be the condition of Baloch literature which needs more people like Mubarak Qazi who is a man of wisdom and knowledge.
