One killed in Kurram mine explosion

PARACHINAR: A man was killed and another one injured in a landmine blast in Kurram Agency, official sources said.

They said that Muhammad Janan and his friend, whose name could not be ascertained immediately, were wandering in the fields in Jaar area when one of them stepped on a landmine planted by unidentified miscreants, killing Muhammad Janan on the spot and injuring his companion.

The injured tribesman was shifted to a hospital in Sadda in Kurram Agency. The political administration lodged a case and started investigation.

In February 2015, at least four security men were killed in an explosion targeting a convoy of security forces in Warmagai area of Kurram tribal region.
