1st Int’l Children’s Film Festival, Gujranwala concludes

The Little Art announced the 1st International Children’s Film Festival – Gujranwala 2019 in collaboration with Cinepax Cinemas. The festival was presented by The Little Art in collaboration with Doaba and Cinepax Cinemas at the Cinepax Cinemas in Kings Mall, Gujranwala from Monday to Saturday.

This year’s festival in Gujranwala showcased selected 116 films from 27 countries, including several films by young Pakistani filmmakers. These films have been selected from a total of 3,590 film entries from 116 countries. They received a heartwarming response from filmmakers from all over the world eager to share international films for Pakistani children.

The film programming was carefully curated keeping in mind the young audience largely comprised of school children from different backgrounds. ICFF-Gujranwala held shows running in morning slots that ran from Monday to Saturday at the Kings Mall, venue of Cinepax in Gujranwala. The festival jury this year that selected top international entries for this year’s festival consisted of known Play-writer/Critic/Educationist Mr. Asghar Nadeem Syed, Documentary Filmmaker Mr. Ali Ijaz, Director/Owner KINO films Ms. Tazeen Bari and Independent Researcher at Film Museum Society/Educationist/Filmmaker Ms. Wajiha Raza Rizvi.

The first day of ICFFG kicked off with over 1,100 children attended at Cinepax Cinema Kings Mall, Gujranwala. Some of the participating schools were Jadeed Dastagir School, The Learning Hub, The Noor School, LACASSchool, Beacon house School and Allied School.
