Compensation cheques of Rs 13.6m distributed among Khyber TDPs

On the direction of district administration, Citizen Losses Compensation Programme (CLCP) under the survey project distributed compensation cheques among 76 affected persons of Aka Khel tribes of Bara here on Thursday. In this connection a simple but impressive gathering was held in Khyber House, Peshawar that was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Khyber Mehmood Aslam Wazir, forces and CLCP officials, tribal elders and large numbers of TDPs. Khyber DC distributed compensation cheques of total sum of Rs 13.6 million among 76 Temporary Displaced Persons (TDPs). It is to be mentioning here that Rs.0.4 million per residency have been allocated for complete demolished houses while Rs.0.160000 million has been reserved for partially damaged house. Speaking on the occasion, DC, Khyber said that the compensation cheques were granted to the affectees to assist them in resuming their routine life. He added that compensation cheques would be handed over to rest of suffered families belonging to the rest of the victims in the near future.
