Peshawar Nazim for solution of issues facing special children

PESHAWAR: District Peshawar Nazim Arbab Asim Khan on Thursday issued directives regarding the solution of issues being faced by the special children in their learning institutions in provincial capital.

In his directives the Nazim also doubled the mount for petrol quota for those buses giving picks and drop facilities to the special children while Rs 1.5 million release to repair the buses.

The directives were issued during a meeting with a five member delegation of Parent Teacher Council held at the Nazim office. The members informed the district Nazim about the problems and lacking facilities of the disable children school located in posh area of Hayatabad.

The delegation was of the opinion that the school’s buses are not in good condition and its petrol quota is also insufficient.

The Nazim took notice of the issues and allocated Rs 1.5 million on early basis aimed to repairing the damage buses and also gave order for the increasing of petrol quota to the school vehicles. Aziz Khan, account officer, city district government, appointed focal person to use the allocated fund in right direction. Besides, an audit officer also appointed to make audit of those funds used in the past for petrol and other affairs. In the meeting a three members committee formed consist on teachers, parents and representatives of the council and who’s responsibility to present the annual report to the nazim and will make sure the use of the approval fund fair and transparent.

Meanwhile, the nazim himself supervise all the procedure and stern action will be taken against those officers who use delaying tactics.
